In the August94 issue of CU Amiga, there is a big story about the VT
and LW. The VT part of the story has three pics of the modeler which
interest me.
There is one of a very simple car frame structure. there is virtually
no smoothing on it, just a few basic triangle polygons.
Another picture shows what looks to be the same object, except with
HEAPS of smoothing with a mass of small triangle polygons.
I'd like to know how each stage was created, if anyone knows. I
assume stage 2 was done with metaform (which I've had very little
success with so far), but I'm not sure. I'm quite interested to know
how I would go about getting the first shape constructed too. It's
more complex than what you could create by hand (points, then
polygons). Maybe it was done as a flat object, and then extruded!?
(just thinking out loud here)
I'm curious about this, because I need to create a smooth space ship,
and I haven't been too successful at my attempts yet.
Thanks,
Row.
